Ammunition Control
Thursday, February 21st, 2008Well The Firearms control people are at it again. Only this time it isn’t Bill Ruger looking to sell more Mini - 14 rifles this time is Ammunition Coding Systems that wants to turn all you law abiding sportsmen into criminals just so that they can make a buck.
I took the liberty to write my senators and congressmen on this issue and here is the letter I sent them
Dear members of the Congress and the Senate;
I wanted to bring to your attention the dastardly deeds of a company trying to use you to force the sale of their product. The company is Ammunition Coding Systems and the legislation they have submitted requires new ammunition to be coded with their technology and makes the possession of non coded ammunition illegal.
The lobbying organization Ammunition Accountability who is owned and run by Ammunition Coding Systems has already pushed the legislature into the following states; Arizona, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington.
I am currently a law-abiding citizen, I pay my taxes, I vote, I served in the US Army, and I still serve my community as a Volunteer Fire Fighter. I urge you to strike down any legislature that will be coming across your desk from this company.
I do not wish to be made an outlaw, however I will not turn over any of my legally obtained personal property, to any agency, just so that one company that owns a new technology can make a profit on the threat of prison.

Ammunition Coding used a proxy to buy the ammunition accountability.org domain name to try and fool the general public but do you really think anything is secret on the internet? Hell they even use the same images.
