On the road again
Today I drove the 368 miles from the Arkansas office to the homestead. I am pleased to mention that I did the whole trip in about 7 hours with only stopping for food once and a side trip to a rock stand to get Steph and Tristen a slice of Arkansas.
The snow was mostly melted by the time I hit Springfield but I still have to say the tailgating non drivers in Branson still suck ass. The drive through the ozarks in Arkansas was even prettier in the daytime with out rain or sleet. however I drove right though one of the areas hit by those tornado’s last month there were still trees down everywhere with sheets and stuff in them. The oddest thing was that one house would take the direct hit and the house on either side only had minimum damage. This observation has really gotten me thinking about how those kind of storms really work. My thoughts are that you are only in the most danger in the event of a direct hit. Sure blown debris is a known hazard but your chances are still pretty good as long as you take simple precautions.
Since when did they decide to level the Ozarks in Missouri? Everywhere I saw that was a mountain or hilltop has been leveled off and the rubble used to fill in the valley so that they could build a theater for some stupid ass show. I don’t particularly care about Shoji and his redneck cohorts. Or some bible thumper variety show with a full gospel message. How many Elvis impersonators can someone actually watch in their lifetime?
